Recent research developments have provided evidence that supports the hypothesis that oral bacteria can cause dementia and possibly Alzheimer’s disease. Speakers in this session will discuss the potential pathogenic mechanisms involved and whether we can halt or reverse the progression of infectious dementia with antimicrobial strategies.
